Welcome to EveryoneBelongsHere

This resource was created and is maintained by a coalition of healthcare providers in the Bay Area to support healthcare professionals working with immigrant families.

Our goal is to provide an accurate, up to date and easily navigable source of information on immigration policy, its effects on health, and best practices for those working in healthcare.

All content has been carefully reviewed by our team and includes direct links to trusted resources. This site is a work in progress, and we welcome your feedback and suggestions for improving our content. Thank you for being part of this effort.

April 2025: Advocacy & Action Corner

Federal Advocacy:

  • Support the "Protecting Sensitive Locations Act 2025". This proposed federal act prohibits immigration enforcement actions by DHS officers or agents at or within 1,000 feet of sensitive locations. More info and action steps here

  • Write a public comment to oppose the Trump administration's interim final rule on noncitizen registration. Details from the Young Center here.

  • The Acacia Center for Justice is asking that legislators take a stand against the defunding of legal services for unaccompanied children. The Acacia Center for Justice received a near-total shutdown order for our unaccompanied kids program on Friday, March 21st.  This has amounted to terminating funding for legal counsel for 26,000 children.  That means children may have to represent themselves alone in court before an immigration judge and against a trained government lawyer.  The lawsuit against this executive order continues to play out, and you can read more here. Take action here.

CA (State) Advocacy:

  •  Support SB 81, which would prohibit health care providers, including health facilities from granting immigration enforcement access to patients or nonpublic areas without a valid judicial warrant or court order. More info here and here.
