This resource was created and is maintained by a coalition of healthcare providers in the Bay Area to support healthcare professionals working with immigrant families.
Our goal is to provide an accurate, up to date and easily navigable source of information on immigration policy, its effects on health, and best practices for those working in healthcare.
All content has been carefully reviewed by our team and includes direct links to trusted resources. This site is a work in progress, and we welcome your feedback and suggestions for improving our content.
Thank you for being part of this effort.

Take Action
Forms for healthcare providers to report ICE violations of human rights and to share stories around immigrant healthcare access (for California).
ImmDef Healthcare Form
It is hosted by the legal advocacy group ImmDef and is Physician-lead. Collected stories will be going exclusively to the Attorney General who has requested further reporting on this issue. Stories will NOT be used for any other other purpose without the contributors explicit and separate consent; please fill out after EVERY encounter with detained patients. Hospital details to be included, without including name, date of birth, or other identifying information of patients. Please note anything that you think might have been a departure from providing the highest standard of care and upholding patient rights.
Health4All Coalition
The Health4All coalition is advocating for health insurance coverage for all Californians regardless of immigration status. As part of this work, we are collecting stories from community members and healthcare providers around immigrant healthcare access. This will be useful for influencing state policymakers.
-
If you work for a community-based organization, would any of your community members consent to you sharing their story about healthcare access on their behalf?
-
If you are a healthcare provider, could you share your reflections on caring for immigrant patients who have gone — or may go — without health coverage, and how lack of coverage impacts their health?
If so, please fill out this story collection form. Of course, entries should not include any individual identifiers.
